NIFGASHOT 2023

The Tel Aviv–Yafo Municipality, in collaboration with the NIFGASHOT program, is holding NIFGASHOT festival for the third consecutive year in the Kfar Shalem neighborhood, in the south-eastern part of the city. “NIFGASHOT in Kfar Shalem” is a one-of-a-kind dance festival in Israel, which brings dance out of theatres into public space, with the aim of connecting dance with new audiences.

“NIFGASHOT in Kfar Shalem” brings together diverse communities and perspectives, combining community-based projects with professional works by leading female artists, and placing an emphasis on connecting cultures—East and West, traditional and contemporary. The festival highlights women artists and promotes feminist issues on stage through a multiplicity of styles and representations within multidisciplinary art.

Throughout the festival days, the Kfar Shalem neighborhood will be filled with dance performances by some of the leading creators in Israel, as well as performances in collaboration with the local community: Contemporary dance performances, flash mobs, spoken word, video art, hip-hop stage with a live DJ, competitions and battles for youth and adults, a visiting “Auto-Beged” pop-up offering second-hand clothing at affordable prices, engaging discussion events, and a large activity area for children, including circus performances, bubbles, and wonderful workshops.
